Yes, be dramatic in your practice sessions it does not matter is you are rehearsing voice or playing the piano, over exaggerate! Pretend you are in a musical and really overemphasize; while you are exaggerating your emotions, movements and facial expressions, you can see what works and what does not work. Make sure you record yourself as you practice. Then watch the video recording as if you were watching a friend’s video and you needed to give them feedback.

Try reading the lyrics dramatically, this will allow you to analyze the song and can be a great way to get in touch with your emotions. This exercise will help you to better understand the lyrics, as well as helping you to understand and feel the song. Creating that emotional moment (whether you are singing or playing piano) in a performance is not easy to accomplish. You need to avoid focusing on giving a perfect performance, fear of being vulnerable, low confidence or being intimidated by the audience. It is also important to have a clear understanding about the message of the song.

While you are practicing, work on everything, vocal and piano technique, stage presence, facial expression and deep emotion. But once you are ready to perform, it’s time to forget about all that and just focus on the emotions of the song and its message. Get up there and have fun; dive into the feelings and emotions of the song! Listen to Robin Soloranzo as she works her magic with over exaggeration which makes a spectacular and dramatic performance!

Why don't skeletons play music in church?

Because they don't have any organs!!
